About us...
Some years ago...not all that long ago, Jill and Jennifer Williams skibbled down Water Town Plank Road to Leland School on their daily walk to school. Now you might think this entirely normal and cute but here's the thing - even at an early age, those two little girls noticed. They noticed all those wonderful houses and the things inside, the things that made those houses simply adorable and lovely lovely lovely - they noticed furniture. Today, those two girls, now Jill Wightman and Jennifer Morales, still residents of Elm Grove and Brookfield respectfully announce The Ottoman Society - a fine furniture consignment shop. Now, Jennifer has been involved - with the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center and the Elmbrook Education Foundation - making pizzas, selling tickets, raising money (fun-raisers!) for all things important and vital to our community. And, of course, she's raised those kids of hers. You may already know Jennifer. And here's the thing about Jill - she is so committed to fine furniture and wise design that she dreams houses...and the lovely things that go in them. After many years in Chicago and the Twin Cities, working in the interiors department of the world's largest architectural firm, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, running her real estate staging firm and raising her kids, she returned to Elm Grove and, together with Jennifer, established The Ottoman Society. Jennifer and Jill are committed to customer service, recycling great things, and helping you sell your stuff. They can find that perfect piece at the right price. The Ottoman Society is committed to doing the right thing for our community. Skibble on down to our conveniently located shop - it's lovely and they will be glad to see you!(Written by a very biased husband and brother-in-law, B. M. Wightman)
